Living in Valencia… one of the best decision I ever made! The stunning Spanish culture, the locals, tourists, and international people who have made this city their home all come together here. Valencia is not just any city: it offers the best of both worlds. There’s the old town with its stunning architecture and monuments, like the magnificent cathedral, and then there are the modern shopping streets, the town hall square, the kilometers-long park, the beach, and so much more. In Valencia, you can do whatever feels right to you on any given day.
Living in Valencia: City, Nature, and the Sea
Valencia has something for everyone. Do you want to dive into the hustle and bustle? Head to the city center. Craving nature? Go for a long walk in the park. Want to cool off? Head to the beach and enjoy the sea. There are also countless restaurants where you can indulge in traditional tapas. This city truly has something for everyone! Prefer a bit more peace? Choose a village near the city! The metro and buses will take you everywhere, allowing you to enjoy the city life while being close to more tranquil areas.
Why I Personally Love Valencia

Why living in Valencia? For me, this city is truly perfect! I love city life but also place great value on peace and nature. That’s why you’ll often find me in the Turia Park or at the beach, unwinding and clearing my head. But I’m also in the city almost every day. What I love about Valencia is that everyone lets others do their own thing, without any judgment. People here respect each other and nothing seems too crazy! No one will bat an eye at what you do or don’t do. People here accept each other’s differences and simply do what makes them happy.
Peace, Fun, and Life in the City
Valencia offers the perfect mix of tranquility and liveliness. For example, you can enjoy the peacefulness of the park during the day or take a relaxing walk along the beach in the evening. But when you’re in the mood for some fun, you can enjoy the bustling terraces in the afternoon or the lively restaurants and bars in the evening! The city truly comes alive, and the people here make the most of their time in this amazing place. It’s a city that never gets old, and no one ever tires of it!
A Melting Pot of Cultures
While living in Valencia, you’ll meet a variety of people from all walks of life: Spaniards, locals, international students, retirees from around the world, and more. One thing to keep in mind is that most locals don’t speak much English. So, if you plan to live here long-term, I highly recommend learning Spanish. Not only will it be incredibly useful in your daily life, but it will also help you integrate fully into the community. Plus, it’s a beautiful language to learn! A City That Embraces You
One of the most unique aspects of living in Valencia is how welcoming the city is to newcomers. Whether you’re from another part of Spain or across the globe, Valencia has a way of making you feel at home. The blend of traditional Spanish culture and modern influences creates an environment that is both comforting and exciting. It’s a city where you can experience the vibrant energy of urban life, but also find pockets of calm and serenity when you need them. The kindness of the locals, combined with the diverse international community, creates a sense of belonging for everyone.
As a resident, you quickly realize that Valencia isn’t just a place to live—it’s a place to thrive. Whether you’re starting a new chapter of your life or just enjoying the next part of your journey, Valencia gives you the space to grow, explore, and make memories that last a lifetime.
